About
I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, where I have lived my entire life. My education was at Westminster College and the University of Utah. It was at the University of Utah where I recieved my BFA in painting. While at the University of Utah I was fortunate to be taught by some "world class" artists; I say "fortunate" since it seems as if this quality of teacher is in short supply nowadays. Among those that I considered my mentors were: first and formost, Alvin Gittins, whose ability to draw and paint the human form is unparalled as was his ability to teach and communicate his expertise to others. Secondly: Douglas Snow, who was very supportive and a great artist in his own right. And lastly, Angelo Caravaglia, who was a wonderful sculptor and was very kind in dispensing his criticism to his struggling students.
Painting has been my passion for some forty years. During this time I have exhibited extensively in galleries and on my own. Now I'm breaking into new territory, selling on the internet and the various social media , however most of my time is still spent painting landscapes, or portrait commissions as time permits.
